Indie publishers do not get enough love – and they deserve ALL the love. They are the unsung heroes in today’s publishing industry, fighting insurmountable (seeming) odds to allow creative voices to be heard that might not have a chance otherwise.
Monarch Publishing, aka Monarch Educational Services, LLC., is such a warrior.
I’m not hyping them up simply because they’re my publisher – although that does show that they have incredible taste – but because they are simply awesome! The caliber of authors they have on their roster is incredible. This publisher OVERFLOWS with talent.
Monarch dedicates itself to providing books for every age from 0 to young adult (or anyone that considers themselves young-at-heart… like me, because let’s face it, no one will ever consider me grown-up).

Dr. Jennifer Lowry founded Monarch and leads a team with heart and passion. She truly believes in every author she brings into the Monarch fold and works diligently to make their book shine. As an indie publisher, that isn’t an easy task. Finding the right distributor (and dealing with all the issues that entails), coaching authors in their marketing strategies, partnering with other industry professionals – it is a never-ending job and Jennifer does it all with joy. She makes Monarch feel like a family. I know that sounds very cliché, but it is the honest truth.
Monarch has every genre covered – fantasy adventure, romance, sci-fi, ghost stories, contemporary, historical fiction, coming-of-age, and so much more. No topics are taboo. But, Monarch does pride itself on its Clean Reads mission. This isn’t to knock on other books, but to offer something to families who want all the magic books can bring without some of the extra spice they don’t want.
There is something for everyone in Monarch’s collection. All you have to do is go and take a look. A note, however – the website is under rebranding at the moment, so do be patient.
