A Very Merry Christmas and a Happy Book Year!

I know I’ve posted the above video last Christmas – and I’m doing it again!

Sorry, but O Holy Night is by far my favorite Christmas song, and Danny Gokey does an amazing job with it. There are a lot of great renditions of it, but I don’t want to overload you.

I just want to take this time to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

But…wait…what’s with the title of this post, then?

Things have been…a bit off (to say the least) with my writing this year. I’ve determined that 2017 is going to change all of that. I’ve set 2 goals for myself this year, and the 1st goal has a lot to do with you!

If you notice on my menu bar at the top, there’s a new addition. That is for you!

If you’ve read this blog for longer than a day or two, you might get the impression that I’m passionate about social justice. There’s on organization that I support more than any other, and that’s Compassion International.

I’m combining that passion with my writing passion and launching a New Book Project! And, that’s where you come in.

I want to launch a new book by April 2017 that will raise funds for Compassion International. I’ve worked out the details that will allow me to have all royalties for this book sent directly to Compassion. The book will be created through Amazon’s CreateSpace team – so that means 70% of the book sales will go directly to Compassion International!

What do I need from you? Your stories!

The book will comprise 10 short stories (not a hard and fast rule at this time, but a good guidance for now). Half will be nonfiction, half fiction.

So, send me your submissions! The tab at the top of the page will get you the address. Standard formatting, please. (12 pt Times New Roman, double spaced, etc.).

I need all submissions to me by February 28, 2017 in order to make my April 2017 launch.

Will you join me? Will you continue to bring hope to millions of children all over the world?

I can’t wait to read your stories.

Now, I’m going to enjoy some holiday time with my family. If I do post anything new before the New Year, it’ll be sporadic. If I don’t see you all,

Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
