Just a quick blog post to give you a heads up.
If you look over on the side bar – right over there – you’ll see I’ve added a handy little email icon. Click on it and sign up for what will be my monthly newsletter.
A bit premature? “Russ, you’re not a published author yet…other than those short stories…why have a newsletter now?”
I’m glad you asked. It’s never too early to start a newsletter and get into the habit of one. I think most of you writers out there have one already, or you should.
What will I be writing in this newsletter? I’ll be giving out news and information concerning my current WIPs and writing adventures. I’ll share some cool tidbits and other things that might not make it on my blog here. Also, when I do finally finish my novel (almost there!) and get it published, this will be where I’ll be doing the whole contest thing (with giveaways) plus information about signings/readings/etc. (All authors have to do that sort of thing, I’m told).
Extra benefit – I get to know you more, and you get to know me more. Having followers of my blog is great, I love it, but it’s also a bit impersonal. This newsletter, along with my Facebook page, is a great way to go beyond the impersonal a bit.
So, what do you say? Sign up. Click on the email icon and send me an email. Introduce yourself, and I will email you soon.
The newsletter will be a monthly event starting around the end of June 2015. I say monthly, but if there’s something really important you need to know, I’ll send out unscheduled emails to let you know the latest.
