Compassion Sunday is Coming – April 26th

There isn’t a way I can write this without an emotional plea to anyone who would read my blog. My logical Apologetics mind makes me cringe at this, and I think that there should be a reasoned request on my behalf toward you, the reader, as to why you should commit to a child through Compassion.

I’m sure there is. You can read the statistics of Compassion and childhood poverty on the right side of my blog. The information is there. However, this is something that touches me beyond just my head and reason. This cuts straight to my heart.

Watch the video, and then think about what you may be able to do. Maybe all you can do is be a conduit through which others become aware of Compassion International and all that they do. Maybe you can become a sponsor of one of these children. I pray that you follow what I said in a previous post, here, and commit instead of just sponsor a child.

Compassion Sunday is about churches getting the word out to their congregations. I write about it here on my blog, because maybe your church doesn’t participate in Compassion Sunday or maybe you don’t attend a church. Either way, I do want you to be aware.

Visit Compassion International. You can link to them here, from the video, or even from the links on the right side of my blog. I hope you do. I also hope you tell someone else about it. Together, we can make a difference.

  1. I admire you and your family’s heart of giving! There are so many issues in other countries with poverty. Children so often seem to get the short end of the stick.

My father in law has an outreach in Belize and deals with some unimaginable medical, poverty and school related issues with the children.

Keep sharing! There’s a great benefit for everyone when we can give.
